The Canton of Distant Shore is a historical re-enactment group located in Pictou
and Colchester Counties, Nova Scotia. The local group is part of the Society for Creative
Anachronism (SCA), a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to the study and
reenactment of the nobility and upper class societies of the Middle Ages.
Have you ever dreamed of living in a castle? Do you occasionally have the
desire to run off to Sherwood Forest and join Robin Hood's band of merry men? Do
you yearn for a simpler time when ladies wore rich gowns and lords trained to
fight with sword and shield? Ever wanted to stand at the helm of a Viking Ship?
If you answer yes to any or all of these questions, read on; the Society for Creative Anachronism may just be for you!
